RODERICK D. MCCLINTOCK

Pastor Roderick D. McClintock was born on March 4, 1976 and reared in Houston's Fifth Ward. He spent most of his childhood in the custody of Children Protective Service.

He attended several elementary schools starting at S.A. Pleasant, R.C. Conley and Nat Q. Henderson Elementary. After a brief stay at Holland Middle School, due to a move to another foster home, Pastor McClintock was then enrolled into Lamar Fleming Middle School. After only one school year, he was then transferred due to another foster home change to Jane Long Middle School. Completing two school years and promotion to high school, he began his freshman year at Robert E. Lee High School (Houston, Tx). Due to family issues, he had difficulties with school. In his 10th grade year, Pastor McClintock decided that graduating from high school with his peers was not in the near future and received his General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

He would later enlist into the United States Army. After being in the Army for only two years, he was discharged because of a host of personal marital issues. He later became homeless and entered into a veterans residential facility named, DeGeorge at Union Station, located at 1418 Preston St., in downtown Houston, Texas. Once his marital issues were solved, he returned to Active Duty service.

Pastor McClintock says, " it is because of the United States Army and its programs available to me that I was able to receive degrees in Religion and Paralegal Studies.

He served our country with exemplary leadership. His service includes many military awards to include the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Overseas Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Achievement Medal, just to name
a few.

As a combat wounded service member, at 38 yrs old, he retired from military service and was honorably discharged in June 2014.

Pastor McClintock is an active member of JNO G Lewis #622 Masonic Lodge, he is a 32nd degree Mason
( Matthew Ellis, Jr., Consistory No. 370), and also a Shriner ( As Salam Temple #215). He is an At-Large Member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars (VFW), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Greater Houston Black Business Chamber of Commerce, 5th Ward Chamber of Commerce, member of the Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans and Mu Beta Phi Military Fraternity, Inc., and current Board Member of Nixon Home Care Inc., in Houston, Texas. Pastor McClintock is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Upward Bound Ministries Inc., and the Senior Pastor of The Dream Center in the Houston, Texas area which is a multicultural faith gathering worship assembly.

Upward Bound Ministries Inc., serves as the benevolent branch of The Dream Center, which aids in humanitarian services that will improve the quality of life for ALL.

Pastor McClintock is married to the well accomplished Mrs. Angela Thompson- McClintock.
